In less than 100 days, the Asia-Pacific Annual Meeting will be held in Canberra, Australia on 11-14 November 2019. Generously hosted by Transport Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government, we look forward to welcoming all UITP members without registration fee. The event consists of:

Day 1: Working Groups Meetings (by invitation only) & Welcome Reception

Day 2: Asia-Pacific Division Meeting & Gala Dinner

Day 3: Asia-Pacific Executive Committee Meeting (by invitation only) & Canberra Technical Visit

Day 4: Optional Sydney Technical Visit

The four-day programme will include learning opportunity, share the results of UITP work and conference-style sessions on ‘New Mobility, Electrification and Autonomy’ to provide most value for attendees. Participants will also explore the major trends and developments in the mentioned areas from Australia’s perspective. Stay tuned! Speaker announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

Session 2a – Electrification

Outline of members’ activities on electrification worldwide from a knowledge perspective, including positions, project outcomes, findings of UITP global working groups, and future activities on the topic.

Workshop (world café style) with four sub-sessions

  • The 4 sub-sessions will run concurrently for two rounds, providing attendees the opportunity to sit at two tables. Each round will last 20 minutes, with a 7-minute break after each session to give the Topic Leaders/Facilitators time to summarise findings. They will present findings in the last 20 minutes (5 minutes per sub-session.)


Session 2b - Automation & Autonomous

Outline of UITP members’ activities on automation & autonomous worldwide from knowledge perspective, including positions, project outcomes, and future activities on the topic.

Registration desk

The registration and information desk will be open for the duration of the UITP Asia-Pacific Annual Meeting and will serve as your main point of contact for all enquiries throughout your stay.

This registration desk will be located onsite at the meeting venue.

Dietary/Special requirements

Every effort will be made to ensure people with special dietary requirements are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, catering or arrangements to be made on your behalf, please include details on your registration form under the section ‘Dietary / Special Requirements’ to enable us to make your attendance a pleasant and comfortable experience.


The Event Organisers, including the Event Secretariat, will not accept liability for the damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons for loss or damage to their personal property as a result of attendance at the Meeting or related events.

The dress for attendees at the Meeting is Business attire.
The dress for the Welcome Reception is Smart Casual.
The dress for the Gala Dinner is Business/Cocktail.


Registration do not include personal travel insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that a travel insurance policy be taken out to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover etc when registering for this event and booking travel. The Event Committee and Event Secretariat do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.

Name badges

Your official UITP Asia-Pacific Annual Meeting name badge will be provided to registered delegate and non-delegate member attendees and must be worn at all times. It is your entry to any session and ancillary events within the event venue and at social functions. Security staff will be asked to refuse entry to anyone not wearing their designated name badge.


Information necessary for your attendance at the Meeting will be gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Legislation of Australia. A participant list with name, organisation and state will be provided to all delegates and exhibitors at this event. You can indicate on your registration form if you do not wish to have your details included on the participant list.

All communication with registered delegates will be via email. All registrants will be sent a confirmation letter and tax invoice to your nominated email address within five working days of submitting a registration form. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder prior to contacting the Event Secretariat as it might have been viewed as spam mail by your spam filter.
